Match Report
Guildford Grammar School Boys 8A vs  Trinity College
On: Friday, 15 Mar 2019
Venue: at Home

As seen by the scorecard, the year 8 A team had a large win this week. Overall, I was proud to see the boys keep up their overall level of tennis, even though sometimes it becomes hard when playing a weaker opponent. The teams doubles cohesion was superb on Friday, with communication prevalent and smart tactics on show. As this was such a dominant result, it is difficult to pin where improvement lies. From previous weeks, and prevalent this week, our aggressiveness was lacking. While we do encourage the boys to play consistent tennis, to develop their games they should look to put away the point early on if they can.

8A 3G Award:

This week the award goes to Charlie. Always battling hard on the court, Charlie was determined to get the best result he could. While he didn’t get to finish his match, in both of his singles and doubles, he consistently looked to outsmart his opponent. I encourage Charlie to keep up the encouragement of his teammates as well.
